August 11: We are SO back!

The day we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! After a year of mini reunions, facetime calls, and inspirational morning texts from Myles Cabbagestalk, our family is reunited.

Upon arrival, everyone dispersed to their cabins to unpack and claim bunks. After saying hellos, everyone promptly changed into swimsuits and headed for the lakefront. Some preferred to stay ashore, while others went for a swim!

It was a gorgeous night, so we decided to sit at the outdoor tables to enjoy dinner! Special thank you to Jake for crafting special accessible add-ons to the picnic tables, enabling us to all be able to sit around the outdoor dinner table together! Also thank you to our wonderful team in the kitchen: Dan & Wallis, and Brad & Shops! They made us a wonderful dinner, and we are so lucky to have them feeding us for the upcoming week.

We ended the first night of camp with our traditional campfire where we welcomed both new and old friends alike. We shared s’mores, introductions, and embarrassing stories! Now off to bed in preparation for the day ahead. We will be dreaming of Jojo’s empanadas!
