Canoes, Bonfires, and Strikes in the Rain
Yesterday was changeover day — we said our goodbyes to some friends and welcomed new ones in the door. We were still riding high from the 4th of July parade, and it was great to hear all the nice things our new friends in town had to say about it.
We spent the afternoon soaking up everything the lake had to offer — canoeing, floating around with friends, and plenty of chatting on the beach as the afternoon rolled on. Cara even swam across to Bisbee Island with Sherry!
Our new cooks, Carol, Jess, and Kathy, arrived and wasted no time making us a delicious dinner and dessert. Thank you all for jumping right in and making us feel so well taken care of! We ended the night the way we love best - a bonfire under the setting sun, swapping stories, cuddling up, and drifting off to sleep after a full, happy day.
Today we work up to the pitter pater of rain and had a delicious breakfast made by the Leon family. We spent the morning in classes: Dungeons & Dragons, art class, and acting class!
In the afternoon we headed out bowling and had an absolute blast.
We wrapped up the evening all together playing a silly game and watching the world cup. Till tomorrow!
