August 19: Play Practice Commences!
Each year, we learn the group songs and our individual parts of the play. Meaning the day before, there is a lot of speculation about the plotline amongst us, because truthfully, we don’t have any idea how it all comes together until the dress rehearsal.
Thankfully, we have so many creative geniuses as part of our community who are entrusted to pull off this major production in a matter of days, that we don’t even worry about it!
We sat down with one of them to gain more clarity about what we (Ashmere) and you (the outside world) can expect from this year’s play: Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. Enjoy this exclusive interview, all rights reserved.
Interviewer: Can you tell me about this year’s play?
Creative extraordinaire: A bunch of people get fired from their job at a tech company and the robot revolution shortly follows.
Interviewer: Fantastic! Clear as mud!
Guess you’ll have to come see it, to understand it! Oh well!

Shoutout to our crew that flyer-ed Williamstown today when they were not rehearsing! Can’t wait to see you all on Friday!
After returning to camp for dinner, some friends wanted to have an early night while others elected to stay up and have a campfire. The fire warmed our bodies, but each other’s company warmed our hearts. We are grateful to be here!
