August 22: Yoshimi defeats the Pink Robots On Stage!

Since Monday, groups have been meeting to develop plot points, craft scenes, and write hilarious lines. Our crew has been working to create incredible costumes, paint set pieces, and choreograph group dance numbers. Today was the day everyone’s hard work culminated to a masterpiece!

We spent the day at the theatre, preparing for the upcoming show. Mike and Jojo did such a wonderful job of ensuring that we all got to shine throughout the performance! We are so grateful to them, the tech crew, the costume/art/set crew, the Jason Lopes Experience band crew, the lunch makers, the theatre, and truly the list goes on and on. Our play each year would not exist without the dedication of so many community members and supporters, so thank you to everyone!

After a delicious dinner, it was time for the costume changes and bathroom breaks!

Then our traditional pre-show huddle where we all hold hands, express our gratitude to “thou Jojo,” and mentally prepare to rock the stage.

So thrilled we were able to sing, dance, and spread joy on the stage. We were so thrilled so many could attend! For those who couldn’t, or loved it so much they want to see it again, stay tuned on how to access the show electronically!
